Project Overview


Phase I goal is to purchase the property that includes 2.46 acre; 16,000 sqft. covered area (that currently houses Tarbiyah School, Masjid Isa, in addition to 70 parking spots, 2 play areas, and the building 2 with 3,535 sqft.) The project aims to purchase the above described property segment in three years which will allow us to expand the School and Masjid and add more services for benefitting our community and youth. The purchase requires$950,000 to be raised in three years. Alhamdulillah, by the Mercy of Allah (swt) and the generous support of you all we met our strategic goal of raising $350,000 in the first year. This leaves us with greater commitment and belief that the goal of raising the remaining $600,000 in 2015 and 2016 will be fast attainable with all of your support inshaAllah.


Phase 1 Timeline: 3 years  (2014, 2015, 2016)


Phase 1 Goal: Purchasing 2.46 acre (16,000 sqft. covered area, currently housing Tarbiyah School, Masjid Isa Ibne Maryam, in addition to 70 parking spots, 2 play areas, and the building 2 with 3,535 sqft)


Additional benefits with phase 1: First right of refusal on rest of the property and cross access agreement for an additional 75 parking spots.


Phase 1 fundraising requirement: $950,000


Result of first year fundraising target: Alhamdulillah strategic goal of raising $350,000 achieved in the first year (2014).


Second year (2015) Strategic Fundraising Goal: $350,000

Updates

Ramadan 2015 Fundraiser Update: 

Alhamdulillah by the bounty and Mercy of Allah (swt) and extraordinary generous support of the community, the Ramadan 2015 fundraiser was a huge success (All praise due to Allah swt). After Ramadan 2015 fundraiser, our annual target of raising $350,000 in 2015 has been met. Details will be posted soon.

March 2015 (Year 2) Update: Alhamdulillah, we thank Allah SWT to allow us to sign property purchase agreement with the Union of Automotive Workers on Sunday, March 29, 2015. We have also paid a check in the amount of $300,000 to be held in foundation's attorney, Funk Law Offices' escrow account. This money will be paid to the seller upon settlement/closing that will be held in 10 days after the property subdivision certificate is issued by the county. Funk Law Offices have waived their attorney fees for this project.

Here is the financial update after March 29, 2015 fundraiser:

Total Fundraising Target by end of year 2016: $950,000

2014 Fundraising Result: $350,000 raised (includes $125,000 Qard Hasana)

2015 Fundraising Result as of March 29, 2015: $90,293 (Checks, Cash and Pledges. Includes $15,000 Qard Hasana)

2015 Target (Total To be Raised by Dec 31,2015): $350,000

Remaining Fundraising Goal for Year 2015: $259,707

2014 (Year 1) Campaign Result: Alhamdulillah by the Mercy of Allah (swt) we were successful in completing our first year goal in 2014 by raising $350,000.
